Third place cellular network carrier (and mine) Sprint is throwing down a $20+ Billion order for the soon to launched iPhone 5 headset from Apple, according to the WSJ. The iPhone is expected to be announced at the Apple presser scheduled for tomorrow (Oct 4) and this is a move that could, if played correctly, place Sprint at the table with the big boys (AT&T and Verizon). Hopefully, Dan Hesse will not lose all ‘dem chips he is sliding to middle of the table because I actually have enjoyed my Sprint experience, but my big question about this gamble, is with all of this cheddar ponied up for the iPhone 5, how does this affect its commitment to Android headset? via Engadget.
